Fridge Organization

Wirth the whole new year thing, I feel like I’ve been on an organizing kick!  Lately I’ve been wanting to organize pretty much everything in my house, so today, we started with the fridge.  We go in there a million times a day and who doesn’t love seeing all their food and snacks super organized?!  I’ve got two major tips for fridge organization that I used to help reorganize my fridge that you can use too!

Tip 1: Use Clear Bins

I ordered a bunch of different clear plastic bins on Amazon to organize all the little things and group them together.  Rhett loves these yogurt and smoothie pouches but I hated having them all shoved into the door compartments.  They look much neater in the bins and I can actually see every flavor now.  One tip: be sure to measure the depth of your fridge before you order the binds.  We have a shallow fridge, and I ended up having to return quite a few bins because they were too long for the shelves!

One of my biggest problems is buying doubles of something because I don’t realize it’s shoved in the back of the fridge. I tossed all the expired duplicates I had and put all the sauces/condiments/spreads in their own bin together.  Hopefully that’ll keep me from forgetting what I already have next time I’m at the grocery store!  And the clear bin makes it so easy to see everything at a quick glance.

Tip 2: Wash/Cut Produce, so You’ll Actually Eat it 😉

I’m someone who will usually choose the easier option over the healthier option (anyone else?!), so whenever we buy fruit, I try to wash it, cut it, and store it in these airtight containers as soon as we get it home.  Otherwise, it’s pretty much guaranteed to go bad before we get to eating it 😂.  And if you are in need of great Tupperware containers, these are my all-time favorites!!!  Trust me, they are the best!
