Finding a good fitting, comfortable, and pretty bra is quite the feat, but add in “nursing bra” to that equation and it’s almost impossible. When I was about to give birth, I started looking for bras to wear postpartum and I felt like everything was so ugly and bulky. Being a girl who used to be apart of the itty-bitty-committee (you can read about my graduation here 😂), finding something that was “supportive” was completely foreign. So, I set out to find the perfect nursing bra for every single one of my needs: everyday, lounging, sports bra, and pretty. And after 3 months of nursing, I can confidently say, I have found them! And better yet, all at a bargain! So today I’m sharing the wealth and talking about the 4 best nursing bras under $50!
I’ve gotta start this whole post off with my absolute favorite nursing bra. Seriously, I own 6 of these. That’s how good they are. It is the perfect everyday nursing bra that is super comfortable and lightweight, while still being supportive. It is lightly lined, but not padded and literally feels like you aren’t wearing anything (hence the name: “next to nothing” 😂). It fits totally true to size and gives no back fat 🙌🏼. The clips can be done with one hand and are extremely small and thin. I will definitely be ordering this bra in the regular version when I’m done nursing!
There’s nothing like a seamless nursing bra for those first few weeks with a newborn. The last thing I wanted to be dealing with was a bra, but unfortunately that’s not really an option for a newly postpartum mama 😉. The next best option is a seamless bra, and this one from Target is so comfortable and supportive. A lot of different seamless options are bulky and large (can you say grandma bra?!), but this one is definitely not. It is a thin material, and the straps and clips are not bulky at all. I also love that it is a lower V in the front so you can still wear it under v-neck tops. This is a must-have for every new mom!
Once I was cleared to work out again, I started looking for a sports bra that was nursing friendly. At first I was just pulling up my old sports bras because I didn’t know that a nursing sports bra existed, but it was super uncomfortable! When I searched Amazon, I came across this nursing sports bra by Kindred Braverly and decided to try it. It is so comfortable and is supportive enough for me to take a spin class in. It is a racerback which is perfect for under tank tops, but also has adjustable straps so it will fit any body type. The clips are high quality and thin…not bulky at all!
I love that there is a company that finally made a pretty nursing bra!!! This lace bralette by OohLaLari is so gorgeous in person! It is an optional racerback (it has a little clip on the straps), and the padding can be worn or removed. I have both the gray and the black (you can buy the combo pack for a discount here), and wear them regularly! They aren’t as supportive as the others, but they make up for it in style. I would definitely size up one in these though because they do run small.
Hope that was helpful because I literally live in these four bras right now. They have made nursing so much easier and more comfortable for me! Let me know if you have a favorite that I have to try out in the comments below!
