Happy Wednesday! I was talking with a girl at work today and we couldn’t get over the fact that we are almost into JULY. Get out. Where did June the entire first half of 2016 go?! Crazy!
I bought this Anthropologie dress to wear this past Easter, but it sold out in a hot minute before I ever had the chance to share it with you. Fortunately it’s back in stock now (mostly), and it’s an even better Summer dress than it was Spring dress. It is the perfect church-to-BBQ dress for a Sunday, and believe me when I tell you it is the most lightweight thing in my closet. So breezy and comfortable on hot days.
Anyways, can we just talk about something I’ve been dealing with lately? I know I’m not the only one and that everyone goes through patches like this, but these past few weeks I have been lacking in inspiration and motivation.
So, I finally I did what any smart lady would do when in a rut and turned to Pinterest. Sounds silly (and I kind of felt silly!), but it worked! So I wanted to share with you some quotes I came across that completely turned my day around, and hopefully will offer you some mid-week motivation.
“Successful people never worry about what others are doing.”
“Opportunity is missed by people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.
-Thomas Edison
“It takes nothing to join the crowd. It takes everything to stand alone.” -Hans F Hansen
“You’ll turn out ordinary if you’re not careful.” -Ann Brashares
“If you don’t have big dreams and goals, you’ll end up working really hard for someone who does.”
“You get in life what you have the courage to ask for.” -Oprah Winfrey
“Are you really happy, or just really comfortable?”
“Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.” – James 1:12
Which one of these is your favorite? What types of things do you do to get yourself motivated and out of a rut?
