Happy Friday! We are heading home from DC this morning and I can’t wait to get home to my little Ryleigh! I am such a ridiculous dog mom, it’s not even funny. We enjoyed visiting DC so much, and definitely would come back. It was so nice getting to experience a true “Fall” with the colors and weather, and I soaked it all in. On Monday we drove through Shenandoah National Park to really experience the change in color, and shot these pictures along the way.

I wanted to dress comfortable for our road trip and wasn’t sure how cool it would be in the park, so I layered! This is definitely something we don’t get to do in California often, but I know you ladies with a cool Fall and Winter are throughly experienced. I brought several pieces on this trip that were perfect for layering and all could be mixed and matched together. And they were mostly under $100!

This cardigan from Nordstrom is under $50 and the coziest thing EVER! Seriously, I felt like I was wearing a blanket on our road trip. I layered it over this $19 striped tee…YES, $19! I own it in both the black with white stripes and white with black stripes. It is tucked in here, but if it is left untucked, it is long enough to be worn with leggings. Be sure to size down though; it runs big!

White jeans in Fall and Winter are so fun to style because you feel like you’re “breaking the rules,” but if you do it right they are so cute! I love wearing them with a pair of tall boots like these.
