Happy 2018!  With the new year starting, and 2017 coming to a close, I thought it would be super fun to round up my best purchases of 2017.  I picked these based on a few things: what was most clicked on, what was most purchased, and just some of my very favorite things I wore over and over.  You can click on any of the item names in pink to shop them below.

Leith Ruched Dress

This ruched dress received so much love from you guys, and I totally know why.  Finding a basic dress that can be dressed up or down, AND is under $60 is quite the feat.  And this dress checks all those boxes.  I own it both in the long-sleeve version, as well as this tank version, both in multiple colors and wear them all year long.

AG Legging Ankle Jeans

These AG legging ankle skinny jeans were the most worn item in my closet this year.  They fit so well, and the raw hem on this pair makes them pair so cute with everything from flats, to booties or sneakers.  I own them in four different washes, and you can find all the different options HERE.

Free People ‘Lofty’ Sweater

Speaking of things I own in multiple colors, this Free People ‘Lofty’ sweater was my top item of this past quarter.  It’s just the right amount of oversized and so, so cozy.  I have it both in the maroon and terracotta colors, and it’s currently 40% off!

Spanx Faux Leather Leggings

These Spanx faux leather leggings are hands down the best on the market.  I feel like everyone talks about them, but that’s because they are just so darn amazing.  They hold in you in all the right places, and aren’t too shiny like some faux leathers can be.  They’re super cute with booties like I wore them here, but I also love pairing them with an oversized sweater and sneakers for a cute athleisure look!

Anastasia ‘Modern Renaissance’ Eyeshadow Palette

I own way too many eye shadow palettes, but I have never found one I love as much as this one.  I even reordered it when my favorite colors ran out!  Every single color in the palette is gorgeous and wearable and I love that it has a mix of shimmer and matte shadows.  And it’s only $42 for 14 eyeshadows and a brush!

Gucci Marmont Bag

My two splurges of 2017 had to make this list!  First, this Gucci Marmont bag is new to me in the last couple months and I carry it constantly.  It’s my favorite bag right now because it goes with everything, and can be worn dressed up or casual.  I think what shocked me most about it was how durable it is.  Because it’s a soft leather, I expected it to be more delicate, but it’s definitely durable!  I even considered getting it in black because I love it that much!  Hey, maybe in 2018 😉.

Stuart Weitzman Hiline Over-the-Knee Boot

Even though I’ve had them on my wish list for forever, these Stuart Weitzman boots were tough for me to pull the trigger on.  But now that I did, I have no idea what took me so long! (I actually just ordered the flat version as well…oops!)  I wear them with literally everything from dresses and skirts to just jeans.  I talked more about different ways to style them in this post!

Halogen Linen Blend Cardigan

Back in Spring & Summer, I paired this cardigan with almost every outfit.  It’s the perfect lightweight fabric to throw on when the Summer nights get cool and looks adorable over tanks and dresses.  It comes in a bunch of colors, and could easily be worn to work too.

Lush Pocket V-Neck Tee

July was an absolutely crazy month because of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, and so many of you loved the closet basics they included just as much as I did.  This tee in particular was everyone’s favorite…including mine!!  It’s a great buy for only $24, and I purchased one in every color.  I wear them under everything!

Karen Walker ‘Super Duper Strength’ Sunglasses

Technically these sunnies aren’t a 2017 purchase, but I did purchase a second color last year, so that counts…right?!  I have had the tortoise for a while, but I just got the black last year.  I alternate between the two colors based on whatever I’m wearing and seriously don’t ever wear another style.

Goodnight Macaroon Retta Sweater

This chunky knit sweater I just got right before Black Friday, and it ended up being one of my best-selling items of the entire year!  You all loved it as much as I did!  But who can blame us with that huge chunky knit?!  To die for, right?

Urban Decay Vice Liquid Lipstick

I’ve struggled with lipstick forever, and never felt like I found a shade that went with my skin tone and hair color…until this one!  The Urban Decay Vice Liquid Lipsticks are my absolute favorite formula.  They are long wearing like a liquid lipstick, but not impossible to get off.  And they are a “comfort matte” finish which is so comfortable to wear.  My favorite shade and what I wear in 90% of my photos is “Amulet,” but I also have and love “1993.”

Vince Camuto ‘Fileana’ Bootie

These booties were the best-selling item of the entire year!  I got them back in July and literally can’t even count the amount of times I wore them.  They are the perfect neutral and are so comfortable.  Right now they’re on SALE for 40% off, and they come in three colors so be sure to snag a pair for yourself!!

BlankNYC Jacket

As far as jackets go, this BlankNYC suede moto jacket was my most versatile jacket in my closet.  I snagged it this past Spring after eyeing it for months, and was so glad I splurged on it.  You can see here how it easy it is to dress it up or down.  And the color goes with everything.  You are definitely paying for quality here, but I think it’s so worth it for how many opportunities you will have to wear it.  Right now, there’s this super similar one that is on sale in a few colors for only $112!

Sam Edelman ‘Yaro’ Heeled Sandals

Heels are something that I don’t invest in often because of how infrequently I wear them.  I am a booties girl all the way, but there are those times that I have to wear a pump or sandal.  These Sam Edelman heeled sandals are my absolute favorite pair.  I got both a neutral color and black because they go with everything and I don’t have to every worry if I have a nice shoe to wear with something.  And the price tag makes them super reasonable!

Madewell Kent Cardigan

Daniel made a joke every time we would see this cardigan in a store in a color I didn’t have.  Seriously if you are looking for a soft and cozy sweater, this Madewell Kent cardigan is it!  I have three of them, and truly do wonder if I need a new color every time I see it.  I wear them over everything from loungewear to cute casual outfits.
