Happy Monday! Waking up this morning I couldn’t help but wish I had a view of the Manhattan skyline. All of these Fashion Week posts and snapchats have me a bit jealous that my Monday isn’t going to be spent frolicking through the big city, so I’m just daydreaming about our time there last month 😉 (read our full NYC trip recap HERE).
While we were shopping in SoHo, I stumbled upon the cutest store called Oak + Fort. They;re primarily a Canadian brand, but have a couple of US stores. Their style is so classic and simple; all of the pieces are solids that can easily be mixed and matched together in every season.I loved how timeless everything was because of the fact that it was all neutral solid basics.
I picked up this skirt | sweater combo while we were there, and have worn it so many times since then. I’ve never owned a knit pencil skirt before now, and I’m wondering how I haven’t (meaning one that was more of a casual “t-shirt” fabric rather than a dressier fabric that you would wear to work!).
It’s the perfect basic, almost like a pair of jeans, that can be worn with a sweater like this or even a plain tee. How cute will it look with this striped tee, this military jacket I just ordered, and these booties for Fall? I can’t wait to style it a ton more ways! I found this one that is almost identical here, and under $60.
Now, if only those Fall temperatures would come! 😉
