So excited to share our cozy Christmas decor with all of you today! In case you’re new around here, Daniel and I moved into our new home this past Summer and have been super busy renovating pieces of it (like the kitchen, fireplace, and entryway). Last year, I felt like I had finally mastered decorating for Christmas in our first home, and so this year was another learning curve! I was able to make all of my favorite decorations fit and add a bunch more new favorites that I love! My main goal was to create a super cozy feeling in every room because what more do you want at Christmastime?!
In our formal living room, I used most of the decorations from our first home. The color palette and theme I went with there was super neutral and soft with touches of white, gold, and blush pink. Which ties in pretty perfectly to our blush pink couch we have in that room 😉. Since this gold antique mirror is leaning on our acrylic console table, I decided to lean this light up “Merry & Bright” sign against it and decorate with all coordinating gold and silver accent trees.
This is the same 7.5′ flocked Christmas tree we brought from our first home, and I kept the decor on it pretty much the same. All of our special ornaments are on this tree, and I could spend hours reminiscing on them with Daniel. One of our traditions is to get an ornament on every vacation we go on, so there are tons of special memories on this tree! The other super special decoration in this room is the ceramic light up tree on the far right side table. My mom hand painted it for me and I LOVE it!
The only change I made to this room other than adding decorations was to add these faux fur pillow to the side chairs. I love how much coziness and texture they add to the room, and I think that I will keep them up all year long!

Our entryway is one of the things about this home that sold me on it the minute we walked in. There is a really long wall when you walk in (opposite the stairs), and we put this foyer table along it with a gallery wall above. I loved decorating it for Fall so much that I couldn’t wait to switch things up for Christmas!
I kept it super simple with all neutral decor and Christmas trees. To our glass vase, I added some faux cotton stems from Michael’s to the eucalyptus I keep in there year round. And because it fit right in with the neutral scheme I was going for, I added my favorite Christmas decoration of ours to the foyer table as well: a hand-painted nativity scene (also painted by my momma)!
Gallery wall info: We used these frames in the “11×14″ option. They are 16″x20″ frames that each fit an 11″x14″ photo. I had all our photos printed at Costco (my favorite place to print photos). Daniel hung the frames using a SmartLevel from work. They are approximately 2.5” apart in all directions.
Now onto the family room! We spend most of our days in here because it’s connected to the kitchen (which is almost completely remodeled!). Because this house is significantly bigger than out last, I had no decor for this room and started with a completely clean slate! With our first baby on the way, I wanted something super homey and cozy, and went with a “Classic Christmas” theme for this room. This plaid pillow from Pottery Barn really inspired the whole thing, and I love how it turned out!
The pillows are all so cozy! This large faux fur one is one we have on the couch year round and I added this large buffalo plaid pillow to the opposite side. We accented with these solid velvet pillows that are so soft! And I absolutely fell in love with this chunky knit tree skirt when I saw it! It totally looks handmade, and you can always find Ryleigh laying on it under the tree 😂. It’s the cutest thing!
For our stockings, I kept the same solid white faux fur stockings from our first home. Thankfully I had wanted symmetry when we lived there, so I had bought an extra. So perfect now that our little guy is going to be joining us so soon! But I may just grab another (as well as more stocking holders) because they still have them, and who knows how many babies we will have 😉!
On the mantle, I added fresh cedar garland from Trader Joes and wove these mini LED string lights through it that have a built in timer! I used the 15ft. strand up here but I love having multiple sizes on hand to decorate with. They can be added pretty much anywhere and make it so much prettier!
And one of this cutie right next to her favorite spot in the house just to brighten your day! Thanks for stopping by!
I love, love your holiday decor! It’s so cozy and pretty. We just got our tree up over the weekend and a couple decor pieces out. But I still need to hang our stockings and hopefully my husband will put our lights up outside tonight.
