I know I talk about it all the time, but weekly date nights are something that Daniel and I have done ever since we got married and we look forward to them each week! We do them every Thursday night, so I thought it would be super fun to share with you some of our favorite spots. We are the definition of “creatures of habit,” so chances are if you were to stop by one of our favorite places on any given Thursday, you’d see us there…haha!
Our Top Four:
The Cheesecake Factory
Who doesn’t love The Cheesecake Factory?! Honestly, their menu is huge and every single thing I have tried has been so good. But, with maintaining our reputation, we order the same thing every single time 😉. Some of our favorites are the Pasta Carbonara with Chicken, the Skinny Grilled Steak Medallions, and the Stuffed Chicken Tortillas. And #1 on my list? The brown bread. Yes please! They have Cheesecake Factory almost everywhere, so if we are in a new place but are hungry and just looking for a safe bet, we can always rely on it!
Mastro’s Steakhouse
Mastro’s is our all-time favorite restaurant! It used to only be reserved for special occasions, but this past year we made it one of our New Year’s resolutions to go once a month just for fun! We have enjoyed it so much and it’s one of our favorite nights each month. Hey, why not just celebrate life with good food once a month, am I right?!
Topper’s Pizza
Just a small step down from Mastro’s 😉, but Topper’s is still one of our go-to’s. Sometimes after a long Thursday at work, all we want is a no-frills, yummy dinner. Pizza and a salad bar do the trick every time! We also reserve this for those Thursdays that I don’t manage to change out of my workout clothes all day long…haha!
Hillstone
The closest Hillstone to us is in Santa Monica, so we always pick this when we have a little extra time and want to make more of an “event” out of our date night. It’s right next to the Third Street Promenade, so we get to shop around while we wait for our dinner, which is always welcomed in my book! They have the absolute best Prime Rib French Dip sandwiches, and we are always tempted to try something new because everything looks so good, but we just can’t stray. I’ve heard their sushi is excellent too, but we aren’t seafood people. This is another one we look for when traveling (we ate here in New York last year) because they have quite a few locations.
We try to make it a priority to get a little dressed up on Thursday nights (other than those exceptions mentioned above…haha), and I usually opt for a cute top, jeans, and heels. While I was shopping at Nordstrom last week, I saw this off-the-shoulder top and knew it was perfect for date night! The cut is so fun and unique while incorporating two of my favorite Spring trends: off-the-shoulder and ruffles. It also comes in a blush pink option here. Either color paired with white denim and cute heels will make the perfect date night outfit!
Nordstrom is my go-to for date night options, and right now they have triple points going on if you’re a cardholder, so be sure to snag a few things! I am eyeing this Free People dress, this $39 off-the-shoulder top in coral, and these wedges that will all make great Thursday night options through the whole Summer. And with free shipping and returns, what do you really have to lose, right?!
