Four years ago today, I made the best decision of my entire life and married my best friend.
At just twenty-one years old, I got a lot of these types of comments: “Do you really want to be tied down right now?” “Don’t you want to travel and explore the world first?” “You both still have a lot of growing up to do.”
I must admit, they were right; we did have a lot of growing up to do. But one of my favorite parts of Daniel and my marriage is that we’ve grown up together. We’ve seen each other at our very best, and on days where we would have rather no one seen us at all. We’ve had our highest moments and some so low that we wouldn’t have made it through them without each other. We’ve traveled, laughed, lost, learned, and grown. We are both better today than we were on this day four years ago.
Being married to Daniel has been my greatest blessing. He has rooted for me when others weren’t even sure what I was doing, corrected me when I was wrong [that one time 😉], and pointed me to the Lord at all times. He has undeniably adored me since day one.
So, Daniel, thank you for all you’ve taught me these past four years. You make me want to be better, daily. I am so grateful for your unwavering love and constant lead. I am so proud to be your wife. xo
