With Thanksgiving just a little over a week away, and the official start of the holiday season (eeek!), I thought it would only be appropriate to kick off the gift guides with a “Hostess Edition.”   I’m sure that your schedule looks super similar to ours in the fact that you have a dozen different calendar events over the course of the next month and a half, and a hostess gift usually doesn’t cross my mind until the day of each event.  Doesn’t matter if we went somewhere even a couple days before and I thought I learned my lesson, I forget every.single.time.

So, to help you [and I] avoid the crazy rushing to the mall an hour prior to the event that I have done more times than I’d like to count, here are some of the cutest and most practical hostess gifts!  All of them are super reasonably priced (most under $50), and plenty even under $20, and gifts I know I wouldn’t mind receiving 😉.

Flowers are probably my favorite gift to give (and receive!).  A cute wrapped bouquet will make anyone’s day and will liven up their dinner table for hosting…win, win!  If you’re headed to multiple different homes on the same day, buy a few bunches in bulk at the store and then make and wrap the bouquets yourself!

Treats are never shunned in our house, and gourmet William’s Sonoma candies and hot chocolate are always a huge favorite and such a pretty gift to give.  Home items like a throw blanket (how cute are those pom poms?!), a candle, and kitchen accessories are also some of my favorites!  I just bought this gold and marble bar tools set for our bar cart that’s under $25 and would make the perfect gift.

Wine is probably the most easy and common gift given and received (and loved 😉), but dressing it up in a cute bag like this faux fur one or this polka dot one makes it a little extra special and so cute!  If you want to give something a little more personal, a dainty necklace with her initial would be love by any woman.  And actually, most of these gifts would too..haha!  So if you’re stuck on what to get your mom or aunt, one of these options would definitely  work!

What are some of your favorite things to gift a host?
