One of mine and Daniel’s absolute favorite things to do is travel. We are at a point in our lives where we can’t get enough! There are so many places we want to see and things we want to experience that our bucket list only seems to grow every year, even after we cross off the places we visited. One thing I feel like we’ve mastered is the art of being comfortable while traveling. Travel style is not an easy feat and wearing the right clothes and bringing the right pieces can make all the difference in whether or not you enjoy the “travel” part of your vacation or really dislike it. We feel like since we’re “on vacation” from the moment we are headed to the airport (or head off in our car for a road trip!), we might as well be enjoying it! So, today I wanted to share a few of our tips for how to stay comfortable while traveling on your next trip as a couple!
Daniel’s number one priority is comfort while traveling. He also tends to get super hot on planes, so layers are key for him. We shop for all of his clothes at Nordstrom, and his travel wear is no exception! We picked up this Nike hoodie the other day, and he is obsessed because it goes with everything. Here he paired it with some Nike joggers and these tennis shoes. Tennis shoes are absolutely key because airports can require a ton of walking between gates and terminals, not to mention all the walking you may be doing once you get to your destination!
Be sure to check out all of the men’s activewear at Nordstrom right now because they have so many stylish pieces! Not only do they make great options for him to travel in now, but they also make pretty awesome Christmas gifts too! Let’s just say, Daniel’s “wish list” is already full 😉.
While comfort is a big deal for me too, I still want to look cute and stylish while traveling. Nothing is worse than showing up to your destination and feeling like you just rolled out of bed! I love to dress in a way that I could take off exploring the second we hit the ground if our room wasn’t ready or something.
My go-to combination for flights is comfortable leggings, a cozy cardigan, tennis shoes, and a scarf or wrap. The scarf can double as a blanket if I’m cold on the flight (always!) and can easily be packed away if I don’t need it. And the same rule applies for the tennis shoes that I talked about above! Nothing is worse than running through the airport in cute, but seriously uncomfortable shoes. I always see girls in heels and think, “Is that awesome or just silly?” For me it would definitely be the latter…haha!
This Tumi bag is all I travel with now. I used to travel with this Longchamp bag which still love for everyday errands, but the laptop sleeve in my Tumi bag makes it a little more convenient for trips. It also comes in a baby bag version HERE!
