How to Wear a Corduroy Skirt

A trend I’ve seen this Fall that I have been loving are corduroy skirts. It seems every store I walk into has some rendition of the trend; some have buttons down the front, while others have pockets or zippers [or both!] like this Madewell Zip Front Mini Skirt I picked up the other day.
And while the trend is super cute, it may not necessarily the easiest piece to make multiple outfits with. My mom told me, “I would only know how to wear that the same way every time,” so I thought it would be perfect to style it for you multiple ways to show just how versatile of a piece it can be in your closet this Fall!
My favorite way of styling it was obviously casual! In my current position I can pretty much wear whatever I want to work, so I don’t have to dress professional everyday and casual is always my go-to. When I saw this gray knit sweater at Abercrombie [talking more about their amazing new branding HERE], I knew I would get so much wear out of it this Fall.
I didn’t originally purchase this sweater with the intention of pairing it with the skirt, and actually before I made myself try them on together I probably would have said they didn’t go at all. But I think the gray and caramel colors actually pair really well together and will definitely be pairing them more this Fall in different looks!

I also wanted to style it a bit more professional for you just to show how versatile it actually is. Because having something in your closet you feel you can only wear one way is the worst. How cute is it to wear to the office for Fall?
I paired it with this classic white Topshop Pocket Blouse, my newest leopard scarf [I now have three #sendhelp] and some peep-toe block heels. The look would be just as cute with a classic black pump that you probably already have in your closet. If you currently don’t have one, I recommend this one for under $120. Definitely an obvious staple that will last you for years, but with a little bit of a unique look.
