We got back to L.A. super late last night after several flight delays, and I can’t tell you how happy I am to be home!  Charleston was such a charming city, and Daniel and I loved getting to learn the history of it as well as experience all the fun sights and food.  It is definitely a food-lover’s city, and more specifically a seafood lover’s, so if you love trying new dishes I would totally recommend it.  We are working on our Charleston trip guide that we will be sharing in the next week or so that will include all the things we did and places we ate, so be sure to look out for that!

The humidity that defines Summer heat in the South was completely a foreign concept to me until this past week.  Here on the West Coast, we think we know what hot is, but it’s fair to say that we have no idea.  Touché, Southerners 😉.  I was so grateful that I primarily packed sundresses because they were the perfect answer to the Summer heat!

Last week I picked up this Madewell button-back midi dress from Nordstrom for our trip, and it was my favorite thing I brought by far.  I wore it the first day for a walking tour we went on, and it was so breathable and light.  It also received tons of compliments, which never hurts my opinion of a dress.  Unfortunately, only limited sizes are available as I am typing this, but I found this dress that has almost an identical cut and this one that is on sale and very similar as well!

I also ordered these white Marc Fisher slides for the trip, but really as an excuse to have them in my closet for the rest of the Summer.  White shoes are something I always hesitate on, but the fact that these are leather makes them super easy to keep looking nice and clean.

Nordstrom has the cutest slide sandals right now, and they are totally my weakness this season.  These that I am wearing come in nine different colors, but I also love this suede pair and own this braided leather pair that are both under $100!  And HERE is their full selection of Summer sandals under $100!
