My Top 10 Beauty Products

Lately I have been sharing all different areas of my beauty routine, and I am realizing how many different products I use daily as I share them with you guys!  And while I love them all and don’t really feel like cutting anything out 😉, I thought it might be helpful and fun if I shared my top 10 beauty products in my entire bathroom!  Narrowing down the close to 100 products I have and use to just 10 total was so tough, but these truly are my top 10 that I couldn’t replace or would want to live without!

Makeup

Trying to narrow down my favorite everyday makeup products to just a few was so tough! If you’re interested in my full routine, I did a whole post on it HERE.  But in the interest of today and just sharing my top 10 beauty products, I tried to think which products I absolutely couldn’t just “switch out” for a close alternative.  So, in my opinion these products don’t have a great substitute and they really make a huge difference!

First is my holy grail concealer: the Tarte Shape Tape (in shade Light Neutral).  Over the years I have tried tons and tons of concealers and definitely have had the “Goldilocks” thing going on.  Either they stay put but they’re too drying, or they’re creamy and hydrating but crease and don’t stay on well.  The Tarte Shape Tape is the perfect balance of all of these things.  I’s creamy enough to use on dry skin (like mine!), but definitely stays put all day and does not crease.  There really isn’t anything like it on the market!  If you’ve never tried it, you need to give it a shot to see why it has such a cult following!  ps: it’s only available HERE!

One item in make-up bag that I have tried to find a less expensive replacement for over the past few years is this Diorshow Mascara Primer.  Let me just save you a ton of time and let you know that there is not one out there that even comes close!  Every time a new one comes on the market, I try it out because I am still hopeful, but not yet!  That being said, I have bought it over and over again the past 5 years and definitely think it is worth the price tag.  I replace mine every 2-3 months, so it really isn’t too bad.

I have to include this Anastasia of Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance eyeshadow palette in my top 10 beauty products because it is the only eyeshadow palette I have ever purchased more than one time!  I have bought this palette four times now!!!  I use it every single day, whether I want a simple eyeshadow look or am going out and want something a bit more drastic.  It has the perfect mix of both matte and shimmer eyeshadows, and you can wear every single color.

Lastly, I typically am not loyal to a foundation and tend to like one for a while and then find issues with it before I try something else.  But, I have been a fan of this Too Faced “Born This Way” foundation (in shade Nude) for a few years now!  There was a time in my early pregnancy where I was having hormonal skin issues that I did try to find something else (you can read more about my pregnancy skincare routine here).  But, nothing I tried was even close to as good and I ended up just figuring that it was my skin.  Thankfully, the farther into my pregnancy I get, the better my skin gets and I am loving it again!  It is supposed to be great for all skin types, but if you have dry skin, you definitely need to try this one!

Hair

Let’s just start off with this Living Proof Dry Shampoo because you all know that I am over the moon obsessed, and have been for a long, long time.  Honestly if I had to pick ONE top beauty product, this would be it.  I used it almost daily (except the same day I wash my hair), and it has given me so much freedom with my washing schedule.  Being a brunette, it can be hard to find a dry shampoo that doesn’t leave your hair white, and finding one that actually cleans your hair and doesn’t make it feel full of product is tough no matter who you are.  THIS is the answer!  Be sure to check out my full post on how I apply it because that makes all the difference too!

One of the least expensive products that makes the biggest difference is this Wet Brush.  They’re under $10 and really help get out tangles after a shower.  I have been using them for years and will never go back.  Having extensions can leave you with a big detangling job after getting out of the shower, and this cutes down on the hair brushing time significantly.  I also hear it’s amazing for kids to help get out tangles without hurting!

Speaking of saving time, this Dyson hairdryer easily saves me 10 minutes each day I dry my hair.  And honestly, if I can get 10 more minutes of sleep every day, sign me up!  Worth every penny.  With any other dryer, it takes me about 20 minutes to get my hair completely dry, and with the Dyson dryer it takes 8-10 minutes.  Expensive, but definitely worth it…and a great Christmas gift idea!!

I curl my hair almost every single day and a good curling iron is a staple in my bathroom.  I have gone through tons (cheap and expensive!), and this t3 iron is hands down my favorite!  I use it with the 1.5″ barrel, but if you have short or medium length hair, I would recommend the 1.25″ barrel.  You can read more about how I curl my hair and see a tutorial video HERE.

Skincare

If you’ve been following me for some time now, you know how important I think that skincare is.  Recently I changed up my whole routine, and have switched to using a lot of Drunk Elephant products.  While I’m a huge fan of the whole line, if I had to pick just one product, it would be the Protini Polypeptide Moisturizer.  I use it both morning and night, and it is the perfect weight for my skin year-round.  If you don’t have dry skin, you may only want to sue it at night.  But I have never had a moisturizer leave my skin so hydrated and dewy as this one!

And last but not least is this Native deodorant.  I switched to natural deodorant when I became pregnant because I am trying to put less chemicals into/on my body overall now.  However, I don’t think I will ever switch back, even after baby boy comes!  The Coconut + Vanilla scent is my favorite and totally makes me feel like I am somewhere tropical.  it lasts all day and through my workouts!
