Handbags and shoes are two of the things I gravitate toward during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale because of the incredible deals they have on high quality items! Every year Nordstrom releases several exclusive Tory Burch bags that are heavily marked down. This year in particular I couldn’t decide on which one’s to bring home, so I reviewed three of them here! And for your shopping fun, HERE is a link to all the bags included on the sale!
Below are my thoughts on the bags I brought home with me to help you make a decision on which bag is right for you. Make sure to snag one now if you are in need of one because in a couple of weeks they will go up in price!
The shape of this bag is what immediately drew me to it. It is not your typical tote, and looks super cute worn as a crossbody or held as a satchel. Inside the main zipper, there is one main compartment with a zip pocket on one side and a wall pocket on the other. There are two rolled leather handles on top as well as an adjustable crossbody strap (can be removed).
The fact that there are two ways to wear this bag really makes it useful! When it’s held, it definitely has a more polished look, perfect for date night or work, but because of the soft pebbled leather, it is comfortable as a crossbody, too. This one is easily tied for my favorite bag I purchase during the Anniversary Sale!
Zip around wallets are hands-down my favorite style because not only can you store everything in them, but nothing ever falls out and is always contained. Snap closures drive me crazy! I bought this exact wallet in black leather a about four years ago and have used it so much that I decided the blush pink was necessary this year! The leather can easily be wiped down, so I am not concerned about it getting stained.
It has eight card slots inside, along with a zip center divider pocket for change. There are compartments on each side to store receipts as well as pockets to store cash in as well. It fits in almost all my bags and I even just carry it on it’s own at times when I am running into the store.
Hobo bags are usually a style I shy away from because they can look sloppy and really just feel like a bottomless pit. But the cute strap and tan color of this one really drew me to it! It is a one shoulder, on strap style that does not easily fall off your shoulder (I was worried about this) and has a magnetic-snap closure at the top.
Inside, there is a zip pocket as well as both a wall and smartphone pocket. I haven’t used it enough to know if it has that “bottomless pit” feeling or not. And I am keeping mine stuffed while I’m not using it to keep it from looking sloppy or too relaxed.
This one is another bag that can be worn two ways: both straps as a one shoulder bag or pulling through the chain strap to wear as a crossbody. There is a hidden magnetic-snap closure at the top and a zip pocket inside.
The reason I liked this bag was because of it’s size. Most crossbodies are pretty small and compact, but this one is much larger. The leather is flat and lightweight which keeps it from being heavy (it is so light!). You can easily fit a large wallet, sunglasses, a small makeup bag and more in here!
This is the ultimate work bag! It has three main compartments, one middle zipper section with two good-sized open sections on either side. In one side compartment is a zip pocket and on the other is a wall pocket. I tested it with my 13” Macbook Pro, and it fits in all three compartments, including the middle zipper (with a hard case on)!
The straps are chain with a leather piece where it rests on your shoulder, and the length is not awkward at all. The only downside to this bag in my opinion is that it does not have a structured bottom. I usually prefer that, but it does make this one more comfortable to wear.
Whenever I buy jewelry or bags, I always look for gold hardware. It can be pretty frustrating when gold doesn’t go with my outfit because I literally don’t have another option…haha! When I first saw this Rebecca Minkoff bag, I almost went for the olive green/gold combo, but thought that this lavender was the perfect option to change up my bag collection, and the gunmetal gray hardware is just gorgeous! You really can’t go wrong with either option, and both will transition so well into Fall.
It has five interior card slots so that you can utilize the space in the bag for your phone, lipstick, and a few other necessities. The strap is adjustable and can be worn crossbody or on one shoulder.
Every girl needs a Longchamp bag in her collection because of the versatility. Mine acts as everything from my computer bag, to an overnight bag, to a carry-on when I go on a flight. I have the original, but during the Anniversary Sale they are offering this version that is expandable! And the only thing better than a Longchamp bag is an expandable Longchamp bag 😉.
The material is nylon so it wipes down extremely easy and the leather straps hold a ton of weight. Let’s just say I have stuffed this to the brim and wondered several times if that would be the time they snapped…never!
While this isn’t a handbag, I just had to include it because it is the exact carry-on I have and love, and Tumi rarely goes on sale! This past Christmas, my mom bought me this bag in black and it was my first piece of Tumi luggage. Let me tell you, it lives up to the hype!
The wheels are extremely smooth and it has a zipper section on one side. There are outer compartments on both the front and back for storing items you need to get to easily. If you’re in the market for luggage, I can’t tell you how much I love this bag and recommend it!
And I’m so excited to announce the giveaway winners from my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Top Picks post last week! I was so blessed to see all of you enter and hear that you’re just as excited about the sale as I am! Here are the winners:
