If you’ve been reading or following me for hardly any time at all, you know how much I love and wear off-the-shoulder styles. It has been a trend that has been in full force for the past three-ish years, and is not going anywhere any time soon. Everything from tops, to dresses, to rompers come in off-the-shoulder silhouettes and I am totally a fan of them all!
At this point, I’m sure you have probably tried the trend (and if not you definitely need to change that today 😉). I get a lot of questions about keeping them from slipping or keeping them “on” your shoulders, so I want to share a couple tips with you! If this is something that really bothers you, stick to something with little spaghetti straps like this blush lace option that I am wearing. Completely eliminates the slipping and leaves you worry free.
And while there’s no off-the-shoulder top that will completely stay on no matter how high you reach your arms up, if you get one with a tighter elastic band at the very top (like this one), it will stay much better. The style that is toughest to keep on your shoulders is more of the “smocked” elastic top, like this one. However, once you are used to them you won’t be bothered by either!
Here are a few of my current favorites:
As far as tops go, most recently I purchased this white one (current favorite) and this blue and white striped one. And I just styled this off-the-shoulder jumpsuit on the blog HERE. To see a few more ways I’ve styled the off-the-shoulder trend, check out these posts:
