In case you haven’t heard, California has been having the most intense heatwave this past week. I know, I know, we are totally babies compared to the Texans and Arizonians of the world, but 108º in June is pretty intense for us.
Ever since I’ve noticed the huge increase in temperatures on my weather app lately, I’ve been literally hunting for cute shorts. And no joke, my eye has been drawn to every single pair that has a tied waistband like these. I bought this exact pair in the olive green and the “red sauce” color (my fave!), and am seriously debating adding the chambray one to my collection too.
The fact that they pull on and the fabric is so soft makes you feel like you’re wearing pajamas out of the house, and I can’t say I mind that one bit. And they’re super lightweight so there’s none of that awkward fabric sticking in places where it just shouldn’t.
And I’m totally a sucker for lace-up anything and everything right now, so it was no surprise that this top came home from the mall with me. It is super versatile and could easily be worn to work, or paired with jeans and pumps for a night out. A lot of times the lacing can come down a little too far making tops like this inappropriate for a work setting, but I found that not to be the case on this one.
