Recently I’ve been sharing workwear inspiration after receiving lots of requests for it from my readers, and I am absolutely loving it!  Honestly, when I decided to start styling this type of outfit I was under the impression that workwear wasn’t that “fun” or stylish.  I couldn’t have been more wrong!  Incorporating trendy pieces, like this plaid blazer, into your work wardrobe that you can combine with denim on the weekends is super simple and will take your Monday through Friday up a notch.

Plaid blazers, and menswear in general, are a huge trend this Fall.  So, I thought it would be fun to style one into this week’s workwear inspiration.  I’ve said it so many times, but incorporating pieces that you can wear outside of work is key to maximizing your budget when it comes to clothes.  This blazer can easily be paired with a pair of boyfriend jeans and flats, as well as black slacks.

And speaking of trends, these ruffled slacks are such a fun twist on your basic black pant.  They add just a touch of femininity to this “menswear” inspired look that I am loving!  And to add just a bit more girlie-ness, I wore a lace-trim cami underneath.  These are an absolute staple in my closet!  I love to wear them under cozy cardigans as well!
