Finding multiple ways to wear an item in my closet is crucial in my choice to invest in it. This jacket is definitely one of those items that I have been so happy to have in my wardrobe and that I get so much use out of (also seen in this post). But another that I more recently added is this printed top. I typically don’t venture into patterns, but this one was small enough that I loved it when I saw it, and the peasant style and rule at the top just sold me!
In this first look, I dressed it up a bit more. I would typically wear something like this to the office, and even though I’m wearing it with black distressed jeans here (I can wear those to work!), they could easily be swapped out for a cute pair of black skinny trousers (love these). The fabric of this top is chiffon, which makes it perfect for the office, however it does make it a bit sheer. Here I’m wearing my favorite tank underneath that I own in every neutral color. Closet staple!
Having a versatile top like this in your wardrobe allows you to wear it on the weekends too! Here I paired it with a comfy pair of skinny jeans (under $70!) and the cutest tassel loafer mules. You could even make these few swaps at home after work before heading out if you wanted to make the look more comfortable and casual.
How do you make the most of your wardrobe? Do you like to mix work and weekend clothes?
