Something about rain boots feels so foreign to me. It could be the fact that we haven’t really had rain in California for like the past four years [definitely!], but at the same time I have always felt like they were awkward. Talk about HUGE. Seriously, there is no larger shoe; I’m convinced. And for some reason, while I think it is so cute on Pinterest to pair them with dresses, I have never broken out of my shell and just done it. Well people, I got all “Nike” this past week while we had some rain [thank you, Jesus!], and just did it. And I have to say, it was not as weird feeling as I thought it would be. I wore them with this swing dress that gets so much wear in my closet…so I did something very “Daryl-Ann,” and bought a black one too! The gray version is only $46! and the black one is $33!
So I wouldn’t be too cold, I wore this blanket scarf with it. It is my coziest and warmest one! I have worn it with a poncho HERE and with a striped tee HERE, and I am happy to report that it is finally back in stock! Buy it up, girls. [And, if you want to learn how to tie a blanket scarf, check out this post here with a video!]
Anyhow! Lets pray for some more rain for California! If you are somewhere where it rains too much [where my Seattleites at?!]…please share 😉 We actually like the rain. It’s a monumental occasion for us. But real talk, how in the world do you get anything done? I just want to lay on the couch all day! Hope you all have a wonderful rest of your week!!
I love how you tied the green boots in with the scarf! My mind always goes to red, but the green looks great. Swing dresses are my favorite and I have 3 in my closet and I still want other colors and patterns.
It's so good to see that you also wear Rubber Boots when it rains, we call them Wellingtons, I always wear my Wellingtons when it rains, I love splashing through puddles on my way to work knowing my Wellingtons will keep my Tights nice and dry.
