Happy Valentine’s Day!  This is one of my favorite days of the year because I just love showing the people I care about most how much I love them!  Daniel and I are celebrating tonight by making a dinner together at home and just having a relaxing night, but we are planning on going out this weekend (I’m going to wear this!).  But I’ve had it planned to share this red striped top today since I got in the mail a few weeks ago because I thought it was the perfectly festive for the occasion!

If you’ve been following along for no time at all, I’m sure you are already aware that I’m a huge closet basics girl.  Classic cuts and denim are my go-to’s, so when I saw this shirt I knew that I had to have it.  The fit is just the right amount of oversized for a classic shirt, and the fact that it can be worn casually with a pair of skinny jeans like I did here or dressed up for work makes it extremely versatile.  And for under $50, you better just grab it in a few different colors/patterns…haha!  I love wearing a button-up like this over my bathing suit with cutoff shorts in the Summer, so I know I will get a ton of use out of them.  And it’s called the “perfect shirt” for a reason you guys…I could gush and gush, but it really is perfect!

To make it super Valentine’s Day appropriate, I wore my red tassel earrings and a red lip for an extra pop of color!  This is my all-time favorite red lipstick.  It is the perfect shade to make your teeth appear whiter and stays put all day (ps: I line my lips with this lipliner first in the shade “cherry”).  And I showed you guys this phone case on Instagram a few weeks ago when I got it.  I’ve loved having it because it’s just so cheery, and I don’t see myself taking it off just because Valentine’s Day is over!

Lastly, these white loafers are my current favorite pair of shoes.  I refer to them as “chic grandma” because that’s totally the description they fit.  They are going to be perfect to wear all Spring and Summer long!  And they’re like 1/7 of the price of the Gucci pair they look identical to!
