My love of clothing didn’t just start in the past few years. Growing up, my mom can recount stories of me waking her up at 6 o’clock in the morning asking, “Can I wear a pretty dress now?!” Wherever we went, I would bring my Barbie doll and armfuls of outfits for her. No exaggeration. There was no way I could just bring a couple…was my mom crazy? You never know where Barbie might be invited, and showing up in the wrong outfit was just not an option for her 😉
A little over a year ago, Daniel and I were in the middle a stressful and busy season. He encouraged me to find a creative outlet that I would enjoy. So, obviously I went back to one of my longtime favorites: clothes.
Daniel started taking daily pictures of my outfits, and I would post them to Instagram. It slowly began to grow, and before I knew it this little space became a reality. This past year of sharing my love of clothes with you, has been nothing short of an absolute blast! My passion to make style simple for the every-day girl [like me 🙋], and each of you feel like you are something beautiful has made my year. Even if it’s just a confidence boost from the outfit you are wearing!
I am so grateful to each and every one of you who follow along, read what I have to say, and engage with me whether it be on Instagram or here on my blog. So for that, I want to say a huge ‘THANK YOU’ to all of you!! I appreciate and love you all more than you know!
It is still a shock to me how much Something Beautiful has grown, and I know it’s from nothing short of a lot of hard work and even more of the Lord’s blessing. I can’t wait to see all this next year holds, and bring all of you along every step of the way! Cheers to YEAR TWO! xoxo
