Spring Trends

Not going to lie, I may have slightly written this post to excite myself for Spring.  I am a little sad that our cold weather is ending (or if you’re in California like me, it is definitely over…hello 80’s!).  Primarily because fall and “winter” style is my favorite!  And I say winter with an asterisk next to it because let’s all be real here, Californians have absolutely no idea what in the world winter is.  Like my interpretation of “It’s cold, you should bring a jacket,” pretty much means bring a light cardigan.  But, still.  Boots, long sleeves, cardigans, scarves=my jam.

However, getting all these items together for this post totally got me excited to do some Spring shopping [Daniel and my wallet, not so much ;)]!  I can’t get enough of the current Spring trends that are out right now!  And while I definitely would not call my personal style “trendy” [I totally feel like I lean toward a more classic style], I am fully jumping on-board this year’s trends.  They aren’t too “out there,” and still can easily be integrated into your wardrobe and worn with basics for years to come!

Lace up flats were one of my first “Spring” purchases this year (I got these back in January!).  They are so comfortable and can be worn with jeans, skirts, or dresses.  These lace-up platforms are in my cart now, and most likely will be on my doorstep too soon 😉  See more of my favorites in the widget below…I am obsessed!

While I think white denim is totally a year-round staple, there’s just something exciting about getting a new pair for Spring!  I found this pair that has “non-see through” reviews (way too important when finding white jeans!) and they’re only $70!  Paired with a lace top is one of my favorite day-time to night-time Spring looks!   I just got this white one, and I am loving this one & this one, too!

Fringe is everywhere, people.  And it’s not going anywhere this Spring!  This fringe cardigan is the cutest basic to throw on over everything from jeans and a tee to a cute, casual dress.  I also love these sandals that I shared back in this date night look!  They come in both a black and a neutral and are the perfect “dress up” shoe for almost any event!

Another trend that is popping up everywhere is the saddle bag.  Everyone loves the functionality of a good cross-body, but the trendiness of the saddle style is functionality meets cute [a combo that isn’t always the easiest to achieve ;)].  I am totally loving that blush pink one with the tassel.  Speaking of pink bags…a pretty pastel handbag totally brightens up an outfit for Spring, and if you pick the right shade, totally works a a neutral.  I tend to veer away from colored bags because they can’t be worn with as much and I hate changing purses, but a neutral pastel will go with so much!  I’m not talking bright blue, but a pretty blush pink can easily be worn with anything in your closet.  I think I may be “needing” this one!

Anyone who knows me knows that my sunglasses are usually too big for my face.  I’m obsessed with large frames, and there’s something that makes you want to get a new pair of sunnies when the weather gets warmer and the days get sunnier!  My absolute favorite brand of sunglasses are Karen Walkers (find them all HERE), but specifically this pair is my all-time favorite (I have them in the tortoise, too!).  And I found a dupe that looks identical for only $12 here!!

What is your favorite Spring trend this year?   Have you been super excited for Spring weather and warmer temps, or a little sad that you have to put your boots away until next year?  Or….am I alone on that one? 😉
