If you’re anything like me, you put off packing your suitcase until the night before you leave on your vacation 😂 I get it!  So today I want to share some of my spring vacation favorites that I made sure to pack for our little mini-vacay in Newport this weekend.  The best part about packing for warm weather is what works right now in spring, will probably still work in summer by just changing out your sneakers for sandals, or packing a few more shorts than pants. So if you’re going on vacation now and later into summer, all of these items will still work perfectly!
Let me know where you’re headed on your next vacation!
Having a few cute dresses in your luggage is a must-have for any warm-weather vacation. Â They’re so easy to throw on dress up with a pair of heels or dress down with a pair of sneakers, which means you can easily take the same dress from day to night! Dresses also make packing super simple since you can have an outfit pretty much done just by adding shoes, a light jacket and bag. Â I like to pack dresses I know I’m going to want to wear so they don’t stay at the bottom of my suitcase. I always love Free People dresses and found this super cute dotted dress that would look adorable with white slides. This one from Amazon is so fun with the ruffled hem and neckline and could be dressed up with a cute pair of wedge espadrilles. I’m linking more of my favorite easy vacation dresses below!
Swimsuits are another essential, even if you don’t plan to jump into the ocean on your next trip.  I love having a cute suit to wear while relaxing and getting some sun by the pool.  If you’re looking to save space in your suitcase, try mixing and matching different bottoms to just one or two tops.  You’ll definitely want to consider what activities you have planned while you’re on your trip and make sure to pick a swimsuit that will work for that activity.  A super strappy teeny tiny triangle top might not be the best option if you’re going to be zip lining across Hawaii 😉 I really like one-pieces like this one because they’ll work for pretty much any activity and they’re comfortable!
Speaking of swimsuits, one of my favorite ways to cover up after lounging by the pool is with a pair of denim shorts. Â I always pack these because they hold their shape and don’t get baggy throughout the day, plus they go with just about anything! Â Another really cute option are soft shorts. Â I’ve been seeing shorts like this a ton lately and I think they are such a fun alternative to denim, especially while exploring your new city.
When it comes to shoes and accessories, I might have a tendency to overpack! Â You can wear the same outfit twice, but with a different pair of shoes you can totally change your look! Â I always pack a comfortable pair of sneakers that I know I can walk around in all day. Â I just got these and they are SO lightweight and comfortable! Â They have a really low profile so they’d easily pair with shorts, dresses or jeans. Â I wore these almost every single day in Italy last summer and just bought my second pair because I wear them so much! Â My favorite nude heels always come with me for a night out, and espadrilles are such a great day-time shoe when you want to get out of your sneakers. I never leave the house with out my sunglasses, and I like to pack a couple of different pairs when I go out of town. Â I usually like to have just one or two small bags like this adorable straw cross-body, and a few different pieces of jewelry like these fun earrings and this wrap bracelet.
I hope you found this helpful when packing for your next getaway! Â I’d love to know what some of your favorite things are to pack on vacation!
