Amazon is Daniel and my favorite online retailer, and we buy so many of the products we use everyday via Amazon. Electronics are obviously at the top of the list, but there are so many other essentials we use that I thought I would take time to share the what to buy at Amazon in today’s post!
Hands down our favorite Amazon purchase is our Sonos wireless speakers. We have two PLAY:1 speakers, one in our bedroom and one in my office, and a PLAYBAR and subwoofer attached to our TV. Daniel got the two small PLAY:1 speakers as a birthday gift from my parents a couple of years ago, and I don’t think a day has gone by that we haven’t used them since. They are my favorite thing in our house! You can control them from an app on your phone that is super easy to use. All the rooms can be playing the same thing, or they can all be playing something different at all different volumes. The coolest part is that they aren’t bluetooth, they’re wifi enabled, so you can answer a phone call without interrupting the music. They all come in both black and white, and play both Pandora/Spotify as well as music on your phone.
Believe it or not, we have bought all of our blogging cameras on Amazon, as well as our lenses. For blog post shoots, we use the Canon 5D Mark III (the Mark IV is out now) with a Sigma 35mm F1.4 Art lens. We like to travel with this Sony RX1 RII camera because it is such a nice compact size but still has a ton of power like our Canon. And there is no where cheaper than Amazon to buy memory cards. We buy them several at a time, and have a mix of 16GB and 32GB cards that we store in this case.
I’m not sure how people survive without some sort of portable phone charger. I’ve heard great things about this one, and actually just ordered one for myself! I love that it has two charging ports! We also buy all of our charging cords via Amazon, in varying lengths. This one (4 inches) is my favorite to use with my portable chargers so that I don’t have a huge long cord to deal with.
Coffee table book are my favorite thing to use to spruce up any area or table around the house. They allow you to stylishly elevate different decor items so things appear at different levels. They can get extremely pricey, especially for iconic ones like this Tom Ford one, but they are usually about half the retail price on Amazon!
You’ve probably seen these Sugar Bear Hair vitamins all over sponsored Instagram posts the past year, and I feel so silly to even say I take them, but I do! And even crazier is that THEY WORK! I’ve been taking them for about 4 months and my hair feels a lot less fragile and breakable and finally is growing. You can buy them on the company’s website for the same price, but I love buying them on Amazon for the free Prime shipping. And trust me, I’m definitely not sponsored to say this 😉.
This is one of those items I never wanted to splurge on because spending that much money on a blender did not sound fun. BUT, I have to say that once you have a Vitamix blender you will never go back to a normal blender ever again! Nothing works as good, or is as versatile. I love going to see trade shows where they are selling these because they give me so many ideas of what to make with them: soups, ice cream, smoothies, etc.
I live by this little hard drive! Because we take so many photos, I have to store them externally otherwise my computer’s storage would be full in a week! We use this Samsung portable hard drive because of how tiny it is. The size makes it so convenient since I always have to have it with me. I replace it about every 6 months and buy this 500GB drive.
This may seem funny, but we love to buy Apple products on Amazon. Actually, I pretty much love to buy anything and everything I can on Amazon, so maybe that’s not funny…haha! Regardless, you can usually get Apple products with Prime shipping delivered right to you! I really want the iPhone X for the camera, but currently have the iPhone 7 Plus.
Another “funny” Amazon buy. This sunscreen is part of my daily skincare routine and is amazing because it it super lightweight. It has zinc oxide in it (a must for any sunscreen), and is very reasonably priced. It leaves no smell or funny residue, and is something I buy over and over again.
I currently operate solely off of my MacBook Pro, but I can’t stand using the small trackpad all day long. This little wireless mouse is my BFF. I feel like my hand cramps up when I have to use the trackpad, and am so spoiled by it. If you have small hands like I do, you will love the compact size!
Working from home requires an insane amount of discipline, and I’ve found that working diligently on a task for a short period of time helps me get the most amount of work done. I bought this timer that has increments of 5, 15, 30, and 60 minutes and I set it whenever I need to focus for a set amount of time. It has helped tremendously!
