Trends are not always easy for me, and to be quite honest I tire of them pretty fast. I am more of a “classics” kind of girl, willing to invest in timeless pieces. However, sometimes I do like to dress with a trend, but I cannot justify spending a fortune on trendy pieces. When I came across this dress, I figured it was the perfect way to jump on the 70’s trend bandwagon without breaking the bank or feeling guilty that I may only wear it a handful of times. It will look awesome paired with tights for the winter months to come, but I just loved capitalizing on the trend and wearing platforms with it.
This pair of platforms looks much more expensive than they are (only $32!) and are so stinking cute! They go with so much, and if you happened to find a pair of flared denim, please wear them with them for me! I so wish I had some to pair them with!
[Sidenote: I would love to incorporate some flare jeans into my wardrobe too, but I feel like a tree stump in every pair I try on! Someone send a good pair my way!]
I linked so many cute and inexpensive floral 70’s inspired dresses in the widget below. Some are as cheap as ten bucks. I’m sure if you’re anything like me, you can justify that price point…I mean, that’s cheaper than Chipotle, right?
