DYSON SUPERSONIC HAIR DRYER

When I first saw this hair dryer just over two years ago, I was immediately intrigued.  I mean, when a vacuum company all of a sudden comes out with a blowdryer I feel like it’s enough to peak anyone’s interest…right?  Also, it was the first time I had ever seen a blowdryer that was is expensive!  I immediately thought that anyone that could justify that price was insane and didn’t ever really think about it again until about 6 months later when my hair dryer broke.  I was shopping at Nordstrom for a new one and the saleswoman talked me into trying it.  She reminded me that Nordstrom would take it back if I didn’t love it and somehow I walked out with it 😂.

Can I tell you, I have NEVER even considered returning it!  It is literally so pricey, but worth every penny.  You definitely have to be willing to splurge on a hair dryer, but if you are in the market for one (or maybe if you have a gift card 😉), this one is amazing.  I have hair extensions and the time it takes to dry my hair has gone from 25 minutes to about 10.  And I don’t know about you, but saving 15 minutes on drying my hair every time is HUGE.  I also love the cord.  Sounds funny, but it doesn’t get twisted and knotted like normal blowdryer and hair tool cords do.  Definitely worth the splurge!

Just a tip: If you are wanting to splurge on a Dyson blowdryer and are unsure if you’ll be happy you did (like I was), definitely purchase it from somewhere like Nordstrom that will stand behind it.  That way if you use it and don’t think it’s worth the investment for you, you can return it.  However, if you have been thinking about getting one for a while and are ready to pull the trigger, I would highly encourage you to buy one refurbished from eBay.  My mom and a bunch of my blogging friends have done this and they look and work like they are brand new!  No one I know has had any issues at all and you can save $120!

While we are talking hair tools, one of the top questions I get asked is what curling iron I use.  I did a whole post on how I get my loose waves (with a video!), and this curling iron is a huge reason why they look the way they do.  I have the t3 curling iron and I love it because you can change the barrel to create different looks.  I use the 1.5″ barrel for my daily routine, but will use the 1.25″ when I want my curls too be a bit tighter and last longer.

I’ve used the t3 curling iron for about two and a half years now, and definitely would buy it over and over again!

Okay, if you’ve been following me or reading my blog for any short period of time, I’m sure you already know that I am OBSESSED with Living Proof dry shampoo.  Like, if you buy one thing I recommend ever, let it be this dry shampoo because it will change your life.  And I’m not really exaggerating 😂.  I’ve gotten so many messages from you girls saying that you tried it and are hooked too!

Yes, $23 for a bottle of dry shampoo is steep, but it is 100% worth the splurge.  There’s a whole post HERE on how I use this dry shampoo to create volume (the method you use makes a big difference), and with this dry shampoo I can keep my hair looking good for about 4 days between washes!

So, if you splurge on one hair product from this post, make it this dry shampoo!

I’ve been using MoroccanOil treatment on my hair since high school!  It has been a staple in my hair routine ever since, and I can’t imagine not using it now.  A little goes a long way, so you will be able to make one bottle last a long time!  I put a nickel sized amount on the palm of my hands, rub them together and then disperse it though the ends of my hair.  If I notice a lot of flyaways by my part, I will also run my fingers through the crown of my head as well (carefully as to not make it too oily, of course!).  If you have dry ends or frizz issues, definitely try this!!  They make it in both a large bottle as well as a travel version, which makes trying it out super reasonable.  The small travel bottle lasts me about a month or so and the large lasts me about 8 months!

My hair stylist actually turned me onto this texturing spray, and I don’t know whether to be super grateful or a little bitter about it 😂.  Honestly there is nothing like it on the market!  I’ve tried tons of texture sprays and there is nothing like this one!  It is pretty pricey at about $40 per bottle, but it does last me a few months and totally gives my curls definition, texture, and volume.  Once I’m done curling my hair, I spray this throughout the ends and run my fingers through it.  If I want extra volume, I’ll flip my head over and spray my curls from the bottom!

ORIBE GOLD LUST REPAIR & RESTORE SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER

I never used to understand why people splurged on shampoos and conditioners until about a few years ago.  I’ve tried my fair share of “high end” shampoos since then, and have had some that have really impressed me and gave me some improvement in my hair health.  But nothing compared to this Oribe shampoo and conditioner.  After having a bad experience with my first method of hair extensions (see this post for more info on that!), my hair was left so broken and damaged.  I was willing to do anything and spend anything to get my hair healthy again.

That’s when I decided to try this set and see if it made a difference.  Since then my hair has gotten so much stronger, longer, and healthier and I don’t question spending the extra money on it.  If you have damaged hair and need to try something, definitely try out this set!  I have a feeling you will be so, so glad you did!
