Happy Friday! Daniel and I were out to dinner for date night last night and could not stop talking about just how ready for this weekend we are. We have no big plans, but honestly we need to just lay low because it has been one of those weeks for both of us where you feel like you are constantly running and can’t catch up. So our weekend will definitely consist of extra sleep, some of our favorite TV shows, and continuing with our kitchen remodel.
In case you haven’t heard, we are in the middle of remodeling our kitchen, so right now it is an absolute disaster. Like no one believes how bad it actually is until they see it. Think: no drywall, concrete floors, absolutely no cabinets or appliances, and just a random refrigerator just out in the middle 🙈. Lots of work to go, but we are so excited for the final product! And sidenote: can I just say how much easier it is to pin pretty kitchens on Pinterest than it is to actually make final decisions for your own house? I’m over here like, “Oh my gosh, I love this countertop…OH, no I love this one!” but with every single decision. I’d have it easier if I could design 10 dream kitchens 😂 #thestruggle. In case you want to check it out, here is my kitchen Pinterest board!
Anyways, it finally looks like the temperatures are starting to cool down for good in California (I’m cringing writing this because I don’t want to jinx it!), so I am literally wearing a sweater every single day. This black mock neck one from Nordstrom was one of my first sweater purchases of the season and still one of my favorites! For the price, it is such a great basic and super good quality knit!
I paired it with these gray Topshop jeans (only $70) that were slightly out of my comfort zone. Give me black, blue, or even white denim and I’m perfectly content, but the gray was a little “out there.” They are a huge trend right now, and I have to say, I am actually a pretty big fan! The cut on them is the perfect skinny (tight all the way to the ankle 🙌) and they come in multiple lengths so they hit right at the ankle no matter what your height. They do run a little small though, so make sure to size up one size in the waist (For reference, I am wearing the 26×30 here, and you can’t see because of the boots, but they hit right at my ankle and I’m 5’1″).
What do you think of gray jeans? Are they totally something you would wear, or are they more out of your comfort zone?
Hey girlie!! In ur recent instagram pic u posted the cutest outfit w a rust sweater and leopard scarf! Can u explain how u tied it ?! It looks so cute. Id love to replicate the look for thanksgiving😘
Hey Vicky!
So that scarf is pretty huge and thick so I couldn’t tie it like I normally would a rectangular scarf (i.e.: loop around my neck with the ends hanging down). SO, I just kept wrapping it around my neck (like a giant circle/loop) until i reached the end and then I tucked that in the front. So just keep wrapping and wrapping 😉. Here’s the link to the exact scarf: http://rstyle.me/n/b562i6by6tp. Hope that helps!

This is such great advice! question when you wrapped did you start off with the scarf behind your neck And wrap towards the front ? or did you put it in front of your neck And wrapping towards the back first? I know that sounds so silly of a question but I need all the help I can get LOL ! Thanks Sooo much!❤️
Haha not silly at all! So I started with a (small) tail hanging to the front on one side and then wrapped behind my head and then around the front of my neck until there was no more fabric left. The initial tail is small enough to be covered by the wrap when you’re done!
