Happy Monday! In case you aren’t following along over on Instagram, I am over on the East Coast for New York Fashion Week 2018. This is my second year attending fashion week, and I feel so fortunate to get to experience so many fun events and meet so many amazing girls that I never get to see in person. Last year I found out that I really am not the biggest fan of fashion shows 😉, so this year I decided not to attend any and just focus on meeting with people I work with throughout the year and seeing blogging friends! I’m such a casual style kinda girl, and the fashion shows are a bit over the top for my personal taste.
But, I do love getting to dress up during New York Fashion Week, and getting to share some fun outfits with you that are outside my “jeans and a tee” everyday style. For the first night, we got to attend the Shopbop party that they throw every year, and I wore this Free People beaded slip dress. I will say that planning my outfits for fashion week this year was even tougher than last because of my new shape and this fast-growing bump! I loved that this dress was maternity friendly, but still so pretty!
I was nervous that the white dress would be see-through, but it surprisingly wasn’t at all! I love how the brown beading paired with this suede moto jacket that I have had in my closet for years. If you are in the market to invest in a piece for Fall that you’ll wear over and over for years to come, get this jacket! I wear it with everything from dresses for a night out (like I did here), to just jeans and a tee like I did yesterday (see this post!).
We are headed home tonight, and I can’t wait to sleep in my own bed! Being gone two long weekends in a row has this home-body ready for a home cooked meal and her couch…haha! Hope you had an amazing weekend!!
I love you cute maternity style. That Free People dress looks so perfect under that suede moto! Just an fyi, your links are all going to the jacket, when I clicked on the slip dress it goes to the jacket.
