Happy Monday! We just got back from New York Fashion Week yesterday, and it was so fun! It is a totally whirlwind, especially when you only go for a couple of days, and my schedule was jam packed with meetings, shows, and events, but Daniel and I had a blast. It was so nice to have him there with me because it felt like a mini-vacation rather than solely a work trip. It was still the most fun work trip I’ve ever been on, and I feel so incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity to go! Can’t wait for next year 😉
We flew in on Thursday afternoon, put our things in our room and got ready for the first event of the long weekend. Shopbop held a fun happy hour that was so fun, but hands down the highlight was that they brought in puppies! If you know me, you know I have the biggest soft spot for dogs, so it literally made my night. Foster Dogs NYC brought about five rescue foster puppies to raise awareness and to allow them to be loved on. It is such a cool mission, and the when I met the founder I could instantly tell how passionate she is about it! Check them out here.
You may have already seen on Instagram that I wore this outfit on our first night. It was tied for one of my favorites that I brought on the trip, and honestly I just couldn’t wait to wear it! This ruffle mini skirt is so fun, and definitely a statement piece for just being a solid black skirt. I paired it with this lavender printed top, and I’m not sure if you can tell from the photos, but it has the prettiest neckline. The black tied in so well and I loved how the two looked together. I also think it will be super fun to wear this skirt with a chunky knit sweater this Fall/Winter.
Hope you all had a lovely weekend and enjoyed following along my NYC trip on Insta Stories! I can’t wait to show you more of what I wore this week on the blog, so stay tuned! (But if you can’t wait, you can see a sneak peek of what I packed here!)
I’m in love with this outfit! That blouse goes perfectly with the skirt!! 🙂
