Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2018: Top Picks
It’s here! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is now live for card holders to shop and there is so much good stuff this year! Nordstrom totally outdid themselves with the selection this year in comparison to previous years, and I am so excited to share my favorites with you this morning! If you aren’t familiar with the sale, check out this page with all the info about why it’s so special. And if you aren’t a cardmember, don’t worry! The sale goes live to everyone next week on the 20th, and you can start making your shopping list now 😉.
It was so hard to narrow down my top picks, so I tried to stick with what tends to be most popular during the sale and sells out the quickest so that you can get a jump start. I got to shop the sale in store the other and am going to be trying on tons of my favorites over on my Instagram Story and talking about my opinions and sizing, so be sure to follow along HERE. But for now, here are just a few of my favorites! Just a pro tip: If you see something you like, buy it now! The best items sell out and are rarely restocked. Nordstrom has an awesome return policy (free return shipping!) and you can return the items and sizes that don’t work out!

Shoes
Let’s start here because every single year my favorite thing to shop for during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is shoes! I came home with so many pairs yesterday and am abnormally excited for the Fall to come now with all of the boots and booties I got. Stock up on these now because they are such great buys and you will love them come Fall! My favorite pair of shoes I got were these Sam Edelman ‘Caprice Knee-High Boots’. If you’re looking for more of a bootie, my two favorite pairs this year are the Vince Camuto ‘Reeista Bootie’ and the Steve Madden ‘Rumble Perforated Bootie.’ The perforation totally makes them wearable now through Fall!
Nikes are something that rarely go on sale, so when I was trying pairs on yesterday, I grabbed this super cool woven gray Nike ‘Air Max Thea’ and these white Nike ‘Free TR8 Training Shoes’. And for more of an everyday sneaker, I got these Vince ‘Cantara Slip-on Sneakers.’ I have a super similar pair by this same brand that I wore in Italy and you guys loved so much. They go with everything from dresses to jeans, and I am so glad to have this pair now!
As far as flats go, my favorite pair that I got were these Halogen ‘Violet Mules’ in black. They would make the perfect work flat, and they’re under $65! I also snagged these Tory Burch ‘Marsden Flat Thong Sandals’ in the cognac color to wear the rest of the Summer. But when the sale went live online tonight, I saw them in the white and think that I may need to exchange mine for those!!
All of the shoes I mentioned above that I purchased ran true to size and I got my usual 6.5.

The items that sell out quickest during the sale are definitely AG skinny jeans and the comfy basic cardigans. They are also my favorite two things to purchase during the sale becuase of the great deals you can get! I still wear the sweaters and jeans I got last Anniversary Sale on a regular basis, and I actually like this year’s options way better!
These AG ‘Legging Ankle’ skinny jeans are the pair I bought yesterday, but they also have a non-distressed pair included in the Sale as well. After the sale, they are over $200, so I would encourage you to snag a pair now! They will last you so much longer than the other pairs in your closet and they fit so well (true to size).
There were several cardigans and sweaters I picked up yesterday, and this button-up cardigan that is marked down to only $45 was probably my favorite. I also got and love this Topshop Cable-knit cardigan that will definitely sell out super quick! It runs very oversized, so size down (I got a US 2). This ribbed v-neck pullover sweater is so soft and under $25; I got it in two colors!
One of my favorites that I shared on my story and you guys also loved was this button-up thermal! It’s only $25 and I tied the front to give it the cutest slouchy look. It runs true to size (a bit oversized) and I got an xs.

Active & Lounge
On my shopping list going into every Nordstrom Anniversary Sale are new pajamas because they have the cutest (and most reasonably priced) sets every year. This set is the one I grabbed. The fabric is insanely soft, and it’s only $35 for both pieces! I also picked up these $31 cozy lounge pants for around the house because I thought the cuff at the bottom was so cute! And I love gray sweats. They definitely will sell out fast, so be sure to snag yourself a pair.
And who doesn’t like shopping for workout clothes? Whenever I need motivation to get myself to the gym, I can count on new workout clothes to give it to me…haha! So if you’re in need of a little “push” 😉, check out this super cute Beyond Yoga set that I got, HERE is the bra and HERE are the leggings.

Handbags & Accessories
Like shoes, handbags are something I save for to buy during the Anniversary Sale. They always come out with new styles and colors for the upcoming season, and the discounts are unbeatable. I grabbed a few different Tory Burch styles to try on during the try-on haul, and I will have to have you guys help me decide which ones to keep. I got this large Tory Burch ‘Mardsen Pebbled Leather Tote’ in the black color, which would make the perfect work bag. It is large enough to fit a laptop and I love the small gold chain detailing.
I also snagged this Tory Burch ‘Marsden Leather Wallet Crossbody Bag’ because it was super similar to an old bag I had and loved. Having a super slim crossbody like this one is perfect for traveling and for Summer! And my sister loves to carry it with her diaper bag because it doesn’t necessarily feel like you are carrying an extra bag. There are card slots built into it so that you don’t have to put a wallet inside and it stays super lightweight.
As far as accessories go, there are always tons of cute scarves that I pick up for Fall during the Sale. They are typically under $30 and seriously can’t be beat in price! This year I am loving this neutral patterned one because it will go with so much and it’s only $21. I also grabbed this dainty necklace while my mom and I were shopping yesterday and it is so gorgeous on!

Beauty
During the Anniversary Sale, Nordstrom sells exclusive beauty sets that are a great value and may even last you the whole year. This Philosophy cleanser is my mom’s favorite and she buys it at the sale every year and it lasts her all the way until the following year! This year, TULA also has an awesome set for the sale that has smaller sizes of all their best-selling products that I love!!! If you have been wanting to try out the line, definitely grab this set!
One thing that is on my Christmas list is this SimpleHuman mirror. It is so gorgeous, and I think I may just need to treat myself with it since it’s such a great buy right now…haha! And I also grabbed myself this MAC Face & Eye set that is under $50. It comes with a large palette and mascara and eyeliner!!

Hey hey! Got lots of good stuff earlier. Got some suede slip on tennis show s that will be good for work and a bunch of cardigans. I also got 2 different wireless bras to try out. I also grabbed some short ugg boots but I’m not sure i’ll keep them – just didn’t want them to sell out.
