One of the biggest trends right now is “athleisure” and I am all about it!  With that comes tons of different and super cute sneaker style options to wear on a daily basis, whether you’re running errands on a Saturday or actually running…haha!  It’s a trend I have fully embraced, so today I thought I would share my three favorite styles of sneakers, the ways I style each, and some of my favorite options out there right now.

1.  Platform Sneakers

My weekend shoe of choice are platform sneakers.  They’re just a little bit trendy so you look cute and put together, but you still get the comfort of a sneaker.  There are classic variations like this gray Steve Madden pair, and sassier versions like this puff-ball pair I have!  My favorite pair in my closet is this Vince zipper pair.  Definitely a splurge, but I got them as a birthday gift from Daniel and I wear them all the time!

2. Espadrille Sneakers

When Spring and Summer come around every year, I look forward to wearing espadrilles!  Whether their wedges or flats, I can’t get enough of them and think they make any outfit look so cute.  I picked up this sneaker pair while out on a girl’s night a few weeks ago and have worn them more times than I can count since then.  I love them with my raw edge jeans and the color goes with everything!  Since I wear them so much, I’m considering picking up this super cute blue denim pair to wear with white jeans in the Spring.

3.  Athletic Sneakers

Let me just start by saying that in my opinion, athletic sneakers are the most difficult sneaker option to style when not wearing them with workout clothes.  It is still my favorite way to wear them, so nine times out of ten if I want to wear them, I just make it a full workout clothes day…haha!  Paired with leggings is the safest and easiest way to wear them and make them look good!

But, there are some tips I have to making them work with jeans.  If it’s a pair of Nikes or Adidas, my number one piece of advice is to always wear them with cropped jeans.  If you don’t have a pair of cropped jeans, but want to wear sneakers, try a low profile option like these Converse.  When I wear jeans with athletic sneakers, this is my favorite pair to do it with!
