Combining classic and timeless pieces is my favorite way to create an outfit. Whenever I’m wearing a simple combination of a few classic items, I feel so put together and classy. This Madewell stripe top is the perfect example of a piece like this and was one I eyed last year, but it sold out so quickly that I never ended up getting my hands on it. Lucky for me, they brought it back this year (See?! Timeless!) and I snagged it as soon as I saw it. It is a little more than what I would normally spend on such a simple piece, but the fabric quality and fact that it can be worn for years to come totally made up for it.
I paired it with this linen blend cardigan (under $70!) from Nordstrom a couple weeks ago while Daniel and I spent the day in Santa Barbara. I love this cardigan so much because it is lightweight enough to wear all through Spring and Summer! I wore it in this post, too. And I have a feeling I will be picking it up in another color soon 😉.

I don’t know what it is with this color stripes, but I am instantly drawn to them. I think I’ve tried on or bought so many only to realize I have them. So classic!

Love your style! Hope it’s not too weird that I ask you your height. I got the same jeans and they didn’t fall in the ankle area like yours. Did you have to shorten them?
Hi Tina! Not weird at all! I am 5′ 1″ and definitely had to have these (and every pair of jeans I own…haha!) hemmed. I love buying my jeans at Nordstrom (online or in store) because they provide free hemming! Hope that helps!
