Spring Break Must-Haves

I have to say that one of the toughest parts about being an “adult” is not getting a Spring break!  Every time we get to mid-March/April, I start getting the itch to go on a tropical, sunny vacation.  And it takes me a minute, but then I realize that what I really want is a Spring break…haha!  It’s also one of my favorite times to travel because it’s typically less crowded than Summer time, and not as hot.  Today I’m rounding up my Spring Break “must-haves” in case you have the privilege of getting a Spring Break, or you are lucky enough to take some time off to head somewhere warm soon!

Obviously the first thing on anyone’s mind when they think of a Spring Break getaway is bathing suits!!  And because it’s early in the season, there are so many cute ones out right now!  This time of year is when I stock up for Summer because all of the cute ones sell out so quickly.  So, if you are like me and maybe aren’t headed somewhere now, you will thank yourself in Summer if you snag some of the cute swimsuits that are out right now!

My favorite places to shop for swim suits are Nordstrom, Anthropologie, and Revolve.  Last month, I snagged this black smocked bikini top, but this striped bikini, this white one-piece, and this high-waisted bikini are all on my wish list right now!

As far as clothing goes, I love to invest in cute sundresses that can double as coverups.  One of the biggest advantages of going somewhere warm is that you don’t have to pack a lot, and finding pieces that can be worn for multiple purposes like that really helps!  My current favorites are this striped cover-up dress form Anthropologie and this romper from Nordstrom that’s under $50.

One of the biggest necessities is a good pair of denim shorts.  Besides a swim suit, they will easily be the most worn thing on your trip!  Whether its over your suit to the pool or out for a day of adventuring, you need a good pair!  Finding denim shorts can be so tough,  but look no further because I literally have found the best ones!!  I ordered and own this pair and they are the absolute best.  They’re short, but not booty shorts and not long enough to be “mom” shorts.  Snag a pair of these to wear all Summer!!!

Shop Spring Break Clothes

Other than suits and clothes, beach accessories are such a fun part to get to bring along on a Spring Break trip.  These sunglasses are the newest pair I added to my collection last month, and they’re only $60.  If you don’t really care for aviators on your face shape, but want something similar, I recommend you try them out!  A sun hat is a MUST to protect your face from the sun, as is SUNSCREEN.  I reviewed this invisible sunscreen in my February Favorites, and I wear it under my makeup every day.  It would be perfect for a warm trip!

And a cute beach bag is something every girl should have; I love this pink one from Nordstrom that’s under $100!  Throw this cute round towel in it, and you’re good to go for a day at the beach.  And don’t forget self-tanner!!!  Clearly, I am all about protecting my skin from getting damaged by the sun, so I spend the majority of my time in the shade.  I fake a glow with this self-tanner!  I’ve tried tons, and this one is hands down the best!  Be sure to use the application mitt to apply it.
