Whenever I am shopping or browsing through clothes online there are typically three things that always catch my eye and really define my style:
By now I’m sure you’ve caught on to the face that my style is pretty girly and classic. I’m all about ruffles, florals and bows. My eye instantly goes to these pieces from across the room. I love dainty fabrics, eyelets, and any and everything flowy.
There are tons of cute things I see, but I just know myself and know they will only get worn one time, so I choose to invest in pieces I know will get worn over and over. Nothing is worse than cleaning out your closet every six months and donating pieces you wore one time (or dare I say, never ended up wearing?! We’ve all done it!).
I don’t know about you, but $100 is my magic number, and makes it so much easier to pull the trigger. Am I right?! The amount of times that I have been debating on an item and then seen that it was under $100 and said, “Oh, well then I’m for sure getting it!” is more than you even want to know…haha!
I was shopping a few weeks ago (right before Easter) and came across this gorgeous floral Topshop dress that fit the bill on all three items, so you can bet it came home with me. At that point I already had an Easter dress, but this one just felt even more appropriate, so I wore it! It’s girly in all the right ways: floral print, romantic fabric, and bows on the sleeves. It’s part of that under $100 price point, and I have already worn it four times, which is pretty much my record for owning something for two weeks.
It would be the perfect option for any bridal shower or baby shower you may have coming up, and would even work for a casual garden or morning wedding guest option. I can literally think of five events just off the top of my head that it would be appropriate for this Summer, which makes it instantly worth the investment.
I got to wear it again this past weekend on the second day of the rewardStyle Conference in Dallas (read more about what exactly that is HERE) and I was comfortable all day while still looking cute. Even though the top fabric is mesh, it isn’t see-through at all because it is fully lined underneath with a slip. I’m wearing my normal size in Topshop, a US 4, but if you’ve never worn Topshop before, make sure you order according to the sizes in parentheses for the best fit! Tip: It should be about a size (or even two) larger than what you would typically order.
In case you missed what I wore to the pool party that I shared yesterday, you can see that HERE. Hope you have a great day! Happy Friday-Eve!
