Our days have gotten pretty busy around here, and the other day I looked at our tivo and realized just how many shows we have “saved up” to watch right now. Needless to say, it got me pretty excited for a Netflix-binging weekend on the couch here in the near future (doesn’t that just sold amazing?!). And since I’m all about testing other people’s TV show obsessions, I thought I’d share our favorites with you to add to your queue!
Suits
Hands down Daniel’s favorite (and I love it too!) is Suits, which is on USA and is about a group of lawyers in NYC. You get so attached to the characters and all of the actors are truly amazing! We have watched it since the beginning, and it just started up again last week, so if you’re looking for a show both you and your man will enjoy, try this one!
Scandal
Okay, if you’ve never seen Scandal, I think you should just open a new tab right this second and just watch the first episode right now. Most likely you’ve seen it, or at least heard about it because of it’s popularity, but that’s because it really is so good! It follows a White House “fixer” named Olivia Pope (can I raid her closet please?!) in her relationships with her father, the President, and other members of government. At times, it gets a bit political but if you just take it lightly as a TV show, you will enjoy it!
The Bachelor
Okay, so maybe this is more of my favorite than “ours,” but my weekly indulgence is Monday night Bachelor episodes. I’m not too big into the Bachelorette, so I wait for this time of year! In all honesty though, this season has me pretty uncomfortable…anyone else?! I feel like they’ve upped the scandalous nature of it way too much, and they tone it down next season. (But I still can’t stop watching…haha).
This Is Us
Our most recent find is This Is Us and we are almost through the first season. We buy old seasons of shows on Apple TV if we missed them and they aren’t on currently, so that is what we are doing with this one. I feel like anyone that loved ‘Parenthood’ will absolutely love this show! It’s a feel-good (most of the time) family story that is so relatable and fun to follow. And Mandy Moore is the lead actress and she can do no wrong in my book. I’ve been obsessed since ‘A Walk to Remember’!
Fixer Upper
Okay, if we are talking about goals, Joanna Gaines is my ultimate role model! Umm, can I please be her when I grow up?! Not only is she gorgeous and so nice, but her eye for design blows me away every.single.time. When the couples having their house flipped say things like, “Oh I can totally imagine it” while looking at the old home, I think to myself, “No you cannot. No one can see it like she sees it!” Haha! But in all seriousness, I could watch this show for five hours straight. Love me some HGTV 😉
The Blacklist
I’m usually not into super intense shows, but this one is my exception. If you love a good plot twist, you need to watch it! The head actor, James Spader, plays his role as a criminal FBI informant so well and you really never know what’s going to happen!
