Every Thursday night is date night at our house, and it’s definitely the night I look forward to most out of the whole week.  A couple of years ago, Daniel and I decided that we wanted to implement a “formal” weekly date night into our schedule (and by formal I don’t mean fancy, I just mean scheduled..haha!  You can bet I show up in workout clothes 50% of the time 😉).  It’s one of those things that’s really easy for us to do with our schedule now, not having kids, but one day when we do, we want it to be a routine already.  Someone said this the other day about a completely different topic, but I think it totally reigns true here too: It’s a lot easier to maintain something you already do, than try to implement it when it’s more difficult later on!

We picked Thursdays because it literally feels like you jumpstart your weekend.  We look forward to Thursday’s and the following day is Friday…weekend!  Definitely feels like it you shorten your week.  Most date nights we do something simple like our favorite restaurants and ice cream after, but once a month we go to a steakhouse that we love and that night is tonight!!

On those special Thursdays we like to get dressed up, and I love to find something new (of course!) and fun!  This flutter sleeve top totally fit the bill and paired with some distressed jeans, it’s the perfect week night “going out” look.  And I feel like every time we go out, I reach for this leopard clutch because it’s my all-time favorite.  It’s not an inexpensive clutch by any means, but I have more than got my uses out of it!  But, Nordstrom has a dupe out for it right now that’s only $45 if you want to see how much you’ll carry it before splurging!
