Happy last day of January!! Can you believe we’re already through the first month of the year?! I can’t! I’m super excited to start a new monthly series this year about my favorite things each month! Naturally, we’ll call it the “Monthly Favorites” (original, I know), and I’ll share 10 items I have been loving most during the month. Not just clothes, but anything! And it could be something brand new, or something I found in the back of my cabinet that I’ve had for forever and just started using again. AND there will be a VIDEO each month! Starting…now!!
Sam Edelman ‘Lior’ Loafers
These white Sam Edelman loafers are probably my favorite purchase of the entire month! I’ve wanted Gucci loafers for such a long time, but have never been able to bite the bullet on the huge price tag. These look just like them, and are still great quality, for like 1/7th of the price! They required absolutely no breaking in and no blisters, and they come in tons of colors! I am seriously considering grabbing a black pair as well.
Tarte Maneater Liquid Eyeliner
I’ve been a die-hard fan of the Stila ‘Stay All Day’ Liquid Liner for forever, and even though I’ve tried other liners, I have never liked them anywhere near that one. A reader suggested the Tarte ‘Maneater’ liquid liner to me last month and basically said she loved the Stila one as well, but after trying this she will never go back. And now I won’t either!
It is great for making precise lines, but it is a little bit trickier to apply than the Stila liner. If you are a pro with liquid liner, you have to try this one!
Tula Dual-Phase Skin Reviving Treatment Pads
Buying these is like buying 16 mini facials in a box for $60. And not just a crappy facial, but one where you leave and your skin is glowing. These are two sided pads that come individually packaged. You use one side of the pad to apply the treatment, and then massage it into your skin with the textured side for 1-2 minutes. Rinse, and voila! The only downside is that I wish I could use them more than once or twice a week…haha!
Voluspa Candle—Makassar Ebony and Peach
Daniel found this candle one night while we were shopping, and because he said he liked it, I immediately bought it! It is the perfect “clean” and pretty scent, without being too feminine or masculine. I love burning it in our master bedroom, but this month I’ve burned it throughout the whole house! The fact that it has two wicks is super nice because it doesn’t waste any wax, and you get your money’s worth!
Once We Were Brothers by Ronald H. Balson
I talked a lot about this book in Monday’s post about the “10 Books I’m Reading in 2018,” but it’s such an interesting historical fiction read based during World War II. Two adopted brothers, one a Nazi and the other a Jew, are reconnected in present day times. You get to experience their whole story and it has a crazy ending!
Aerie Henley Tee
This is the coziest tee, and I feel like I have worn it at some point during the day every single day this month. I found it through my one of my blogging friends (@courtney_shields) and am so glad I ordered it. I’ve worn it with jeans, under cardigans, and even to sleep!
Free People Busted Knee Skinny Jeans
The ultimate stretchy skinny jean! I’ve worn these a couple times a week (minimum) the last couple of weeks that I have had them. The holes are big, so don’t expect slits…haha! They’re called the busted knee skinny for a reason! The fit is super stretchy, but also super small. I typically wear a 24/25 in denim, and had to size up to a 26 in these…and they’re still tight!
Free People ‘Adella’ Bralette
This is the absolute cutest under oversized or v-neck sweaters! The dainty double strap is the prettiest detail, and the thick lace is gorgeous! It runs true to size, but it definitely does not provide great support…just a heads up! The back is stretchy elastic making it super easy to get on and off.
BP Knit Cardigan
Another item I’ve worn over and over again this month! I featured it for the first time in this post, and love how it looks with a striped tee underneath. But I’ve also worn it with just a white cami and jeans as well. At under $50, you can’t beat it! It also comes in ivory HERE.
Stackers Jewelry Boxes & Sunglasses Case
My mom got me these for Christmas last year because my jewelry storage situation was an absolute joke. These are great because you can essentially “build” your perfect jewelry box and pick the pieces you want to stack. I have the deep tray and the lid, the watch roll, and the sunglasses case.
