Okay, so while I’m itching to tell you all about this little off-the-shoulder number, let’s get a little more personal for a minute here.
Lately, I’ve been struggling with the comparing game. It’s something every girl knows all too well, and I’m sure if you’re like me, it comes in waves. One minute you are totally content with where you’re at, and the next something comes across your path just to remind you how all so not great you’re doing.
Whether it’s something as serious as your relationship with the Lord, as all-consuming as your body image, or as frivolous as your style, I’m sure you totally know what I’m talking about.
Being a goal-oriented person and always striving to be better and do better, at times only adds to this. I’m totally my own worst critic and find myself looking at others and bashing myself because I’m not there yet. Not because anyone wants or needs me to be there, but because I want to be there.
So, right now the Lord is teaching me that my goals are great to have and He wants to help me achieve them, but we are all a work in progress. So lets learn to give ourselves grace (after all, we’re only one person), and trust in the process. Know that the path and plan He has for you are good, and where you are now is right where He wants you to be.
And that you are good enough. Just how you are; where you’re at right now. You’ll get there, girl.
But on a lighter note, can we talk about how stinking adorable this little OTS top is? When I saw it, there was no hesitation in adding it to my cart. I’m obsessed and totally plan to style it with shorts all summer long. How cute would it be for a 4th of July outfit?!
I wore this outfit this past Sunday to church and then shopping and lunch with Daniel, and it was the perfect “look cute” but feel comfy outfit that I’m all about on the weekends!
