Skincare Must-Haves

I’m sure if you are anything like me, you’ve tried more “face creams” and cleansers than you can even count!  And why is it that 9 times out of 10 you hate the ones you try?  Am I alone here?!  Well in my 20 something years of life, I have come across a few products that I can’t live without, so I thought I should share!  Hopefully you can try some of these and maybe make them a part of your routine, too!

Philosophy CleanserHaving gone through my fair share of cleansers, make up removers, etc. I have tried many combos including makeup wipes, super expensive cleansers, acne cleansers, drug store cleansers, etc.  I love this Philosophy cleanser because it’s an all-in-one that actually does it all (I feel like most the time when something is all-in-one it doesn’t do as good of a job as if you used individual products, but maybe that’s just me).  I know a bunch of friends that swear by Philosophy’s whole line, but in all honesty, I don’t understand the hype over anything else I have tried other than this cleanser.  It removes all my make-up (without that oily make-up wipe residue), keeps my oil under control, and doesn’t dry out my face (I have dry skin that breaks out…so difficult!).
neuLASH SerumHELLO AMAZING (insert heart eye smiley face emoji)!  I can’t tell you or explain to you how  this product works; it just does.  You put it on like eyeliner once a day and your eyelashes grow crazy long.  It does take about a month to really notice results, so I’d say that’s the only down-side, but once you stick out the waiting period you will be so happy with the results!  I don’t have super short lashes as it is, but I like the extra boost anyways.  My mom does have small lashes and recently started using this product, though.  She’s just past that month part and so happy with the results!  PS: this one is pretty pricey, but it comes in a smaller size that’s a bit more cost-effective.  Buy the small one to try it out, and if you buy it from Nordstrom and don’t like your results, you can always return it!
First Aid Beauty MoisturizerLike I said above, I have dry skin that tends to break out.  This moisturizer I love because it is intense (I’m not sure if it would be too intense for oily skinned ladies) but it dries quick.  It makes it easy to layer under makeup so you don’t feel like your makeup is sliding all over when you put it on.  I use it morning and night.  It’s not sticky in the slightest, but gives my skin the super deep moisture it needs.  It’s also advertised to help with eczema, but since I personally haven’t used it for that, I can’t speak to its effectiveness in treating it.  It comes in a travel size (perfect for trying it out) that’s only $12, as well as a larger tub for $30.  Much less than many moisturizers I’ve tried!
GLAMGLOW MasksThe SUPERMUD mask (the white one) has been the most life-changing skincare product I have ever used!  These masks are not gimmicks in the slightest (I tend to think everything trendy is a gimmick ;), and they are worth every single penny.  Personally having tried everything with my dermatologist for my hormonal cystic acne from antibiotics, to creams, to even injections (yes people, injections in my poor face), we exhausted all efforts other than Accutane.  With the side-effects, I was not ready to go that route (however I have so many friends it has been incredible for) so I tried the SUPERMUD mask.  It definitely works!  I use it about 2-3 times per week, and when my skin is really bad at certain times of the month, I will use it back-to-back nights!
Anyhow, hope this helped you guys if you’re searching for any skincare needs, and let me know if you try any of them!  Are there any sincere products that you can’t live without?  Share them with me in the comments!

I feel you on the breakout prone skin. Mine is the same way! I want to try the Glam Glow masks so bad but that price keeps holding me back and I don't know why I don't just do it.
