Monthly Favorites: April 2018

Well, since we are well into May already I figured I should hurry up and get to sharing my April favorites with you guys!  Last month I came across so many great new things and I am so excited to share them with you today!  Most of these are completely brand new to me last month (with the exception of one), and they are things I am still using/wearing non-stop this month.  So, let’s get started with my April Favorites!

Free People High Waist Ankle Skinny Jeans

These Free People jeans have been my favorite for a few months now, but I felt like I kept reaching for them over and over in April!  They are the perfect high rise and just the right amount of high rise.  You can wear cropped tops and sweaters without your tummy showing.  They are also the BEST for travel!  I typical lly don’t like wearing denim when I travel because they can be uncomfortable, but not these.  They seriously feel like leggings but definitely don’t look it.  I get tons of compliments on these every single time I wear them.  This black pair is currently on it’s way to me now, and I am crushing hard on the white pair.  But heads up: these run one full size small!  I wear a 26 and am typically a 24-25.  And, the length is perfect without any hemming required!

Vince ‘Blair’ Slip-On Sneakers

I have been on the hunt for a cute pair of all white slip-on sneakers for what feels like forever.  I first came across these when I started my search, but didn’t want to splurge on them.  After looking for literally two months and finding nothing cute, I finally bit the bullet and ordered these Vince sneakers.  SO WORTH IT!  I have no idea why all white slip-on sneakers are so hard to find, but look no further.  These go with everything from dresses to jeans and are low profile so they are perfect for Summer.  You can wear them with a no-show sock or without socks all together.  My mom got them as well and ended up sizing down a half size, but I wear my true size.  If you’re between sizes I would say to size down!

Kendra Scott Candle in ‘Amethyst’

Whenever brands launch a new product, they typically will offer bloggers a sample to try in hopes that they will share it with their readers if they love it.  And with this one, it totally worked.  You guys, I am absolutely obsessed with this candle!  The scent is the perfect mix of feminine and masculine (totally weird I know, but you have to smell it understand).  I am currently burning it my office non-stop.  The jar is gorgeous, and in true Kendra Scott fashion, it’s almost like jewelry for your home!

Free People ‘Cloud Nine’ Tee

Later on this month I am going to do a post all about t-shirts and which are my favorites.  So I’ve been doing my market research the past month or so and ordering a bunch to try to review for you guys.  And I had to share this one early because you just need to snag it ASAP.  I raved about it on my InstaStory a couple of weeks ago when I first got it. Hint: I wore it four times that first week.  I immediately ordered three more colors and now have to force myself to wear anything else every day.  The fabric is super soft (like crazy insane soft), and the fit is just the right amount of oversized and boxy.  With a pair of mom jeans and flip flops, it will definitely going to be my Summer uniform! Sizing info: I wear an XS in this, which is true to size for me, and it is a bit oversized.

Franco Sarto Espadrille Sandals

If you watched my Target Haul on Instagram in April, you saw me wear these sandals with literally every single outfit I tried on.  And I got more questions about them than anything because they are so stinking cute!  I originally purchased them to try out for our Italy trip coming up next week.  I wanted something that was cute enough to wear with dresses but did not have a heel or incline.  These are completely flat and velcro around the ankle.  They are so comfortable and I could walk all day no problem in them.  If you have issues with heels or wedges, these are for you!  Sizing info: I wear these in my true size, 6.5.

Everlane Thong Underwear

Okay, this might seem super weird, but these are probably one of my favorite things of the entire month of April.  Everlane sent me these underwear to try, and if I’m being completely honest, they sat in my drawer for like a month.  I randomly washed them and decided to try them.  And you guys, a great pair of underwear will change your life…haha!  Seriously these are so comfy, soft, and stretchy and I’ve tried so many different kinds.  These are way better than any expensive pair I’ve tried hands down (including Hanky Panky).  I legit just placed an order for 15 more pairs and am throwing away everything in my current underwear drawer.  That’s how much I love them!  And they’re pretty reasonably priced: 3 for $27.

Aerie High Waisted Bikinis

I’ve never been the girl that loves swim suit shopping.  It can be so tough to find a suit that is flattering and comfortable.  This year for Easter, my mom put one of these Aerie bikinis in my sister’s Easter basket and I immediately knew I wanted to try it.  I ordered this one and was hooked.  I eventually ended up ordering it in two more colors…haha!  The high waist style makes it super flattering and the top is perfect since I am not a fan of triangle styles.  Honestly I think it would look great on just about any body type!  They go on sale all the time, and rich now they are 50% off each piece, making the whole suit under $30!!!!  Snag one (or two or three 😉) while they are on sale!  Sizing info: I wear an XS in both top & bottom, which is true to size for me.  If you are fuller in the chest, I would definitely size up in the top because it can run narrow from top to bottom.

What were some of your favorite products last month?  Have you tried any of these?!
